This means that besides training our surfing skills we also need to train our minds and spirits, or our Surf Spirit as we like to call it. So that, independent of what happens in the ocean, you can walk out of the ocean with a big smile on your face.
Because thruth is we can be so grateful for being able to surf and spending time in the ocean in the first place. But sometimes we forget and our performance-driven mind takes over. With frustration and stress as a result.
